This series comprises works by both Russian and foreign experts who have lectured at the School. A total of 35 books in this series have been published over the past decade. These include works by Harold Berman, Christopher Coker, Klas Eklund, Francois Furet, Ernest Gellner, Yuri Levada, Michael Mertes, Richard Neustadt, Olof Petersson, Richard Pipes, Blair Ruble, Robert Skidelsky, Gunnar Wetterberg and many others.
This second series of books was initiated in 2000. Unlike the first, it includes classical works of relevance to modern Russia.
These small, pocket-sized volumes cover current Russia's domestic political issues and are usually written by the MSPS experts, alumni or most prominent participants of the Federal Class.
However, some books do not form a part of the series. Also the School's publishing programme consists of a quarterly journal "Obshaya tetrad", which is intended to support and reinforce the ideas disseminated at the seminars and to spread knowledge about democracy, civil society, and the market economy throughout Russia The magazines are distributed among the School’s alumni, and also in the regions — through public libraries, universities and bookshops.
The School annually presents its publications at international non-fiction book fairs in Moscow and abroad.
